Guitar rig 4 1.2 x64 installed, active, updated.

Where are the guitar Rig 4.dll files supposed to be located for SonarX1b to find them?

only Guitar Rig 3.dll showing in a C;\ drive search:
C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Guitar Rig\ 32bit an 64bit

Guitar Rig 4
C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Guitar Rig 4
.....this program works fine, but I cannot find the DLL files, to use it as a plugin in Sonar.

did you rescan your Plugins, That might be it. But the .dll might also be under Steinberg VST. In C: Program Files. Or it might be under a NI folder..
If you installed GTR 4 its in there.. Also you would have to direct a path to the location where the .dll is in order for it to be scanned .

Edit. I have my .dll for GTR 4 under C: Program/Cakewalk/vstplugins
I do realize your looking for it in X64, So my help might not be so helpful .. Can you do a search? for all .dll's and find the path if it in there.

...yes a 1hr search and no results.
I have no Idea where it installed the DLL files.
No problem finding Guitar Rig 3.dll

Start> Search> Guitar Rig 4.dll = No Items found

The Dll is not on the computer anymore.
Looks like I'll have to go back to the X1 install and start over.

I know its a different product and you can no longer find the DLL, but on my friend's Windozs 7 64bit machine running Guitar Pro 4, the only Guitar-rig I could get to work was the 32bit version bridged.

Probably no help but I thought I would mention it

Well, I have Windows 7 64bit and Guitar Rig 4 64bit. Never had any problems with it.
Clearly there's been some mistake with installation if you even can't find the files. Just re-install your Guitar Rig if there's no "Guitar Rig 4.dll" on your PC.

The dll is right where it should be:

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins-both the 32bit and the 64 bit dll's are there

Are you installing from Download or Disks?
Disk1 is the Program Files and GR4
Did it put the GR4 Icon on your desk top?
Im really not understanding how you are trying to use it.
If I select just the Icon and launch GR4 only, it works that way;
To insert it as a plug in x64-

On Tracks--I right click in the FX Bin>Audio FX>Amp/Tape Simulation>Guitar Rig 4
On Busses--Right click FX Bin>Guitar Rig> choose 32bit or 64bit and select from there

The GR4 File is showing 56.7mb on the icon in its folder

All I have installed on my system is x64-No 32bit at all

Curious to see what ya come up with, keep us posted

installing from Download
The problem was one of the Install updates: 1.2
removed the old DLL, and it never reinstalled the new DLL version.

It was installed correctly
The update F*kd things up
I'm going to try downloading the update again.
Thanks to all for the feedback.

The dll is right where it should be:

C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins-both the 32bit and the 64 bit dll's are there

In the same folder? With the same name? I don't think so...
