installing from Download
The problem was one of the Install updates: 1.2
removed the old DLL, and it never reinstalled the new DLL version.

It was installed correctly
The update F*kd things up
I'm going to try downloading the update again.

is a good thing to help track orphaned ones down that have no relative registry entry

Founf this thread on a search here.  I installed the Kontakt complete just yeterday (64bit on W8 with X2).  Everything installed, but within the Sonar host GR5 is not there.  The Player and other apps from NI appear ok, and I also did the latest update.

Odd, I'll have a proper look this weekend to see what's happening.
