Let's be honest, it's been completely useless since they last updated it a few years back (and if you remember, even that so-called update broke or got rid of some great features we had enjoyed previously, like 'proper' and easy to set up/read quotes, and the extremely useful In Reply To that was attached to everyone's posts).

Actually, I'd go farther than that, to me it's a complete disgrace, and it should be an embarrassment to any company that wants to be taken seriously.

Even if the matter could argueably be ignored on the basis of just a few regulars complaining about it, just imagine for one moment what image it portrays to potential new customers.

Didn't someone from Cake once admit that ASP had offered them the available upgrade, but that it was just too time-consuming to port over everybody's personal details and post counts etc. If that's all that's preventing the switch, then they've got no valid excuse.

Yes, they can upgrade ... for free.

And yes, I remember reading that thread too about it being too time consuming to port over all the accounts. The reality on that is probably that they will be charged a small fortune by the people they lease the server from to do it. So, yeah, it is time consuming ... but the real reason is probably the cost.

Thanks for the clarification Bub. I couldn't remember for sure if it was someone from Cakewalk who mentioned it or one of the forum users.

Was it Willy by any chance? He always seemed to be coming on here and helping with stuff like this. Mind you, I suspect he's no longer with them (which is a great shame) - his profile shows he hasn't posted since last March.

I'll bet they covered all this at the NAMM Retail Boot Camp

I wonder what all the fuss is about. Firefox was having trouble with this form with versions newer than 5 and it was daunting...

I'm now using the latest Firefox, ie, and safari with no real trouble. I simply added tab2 (add-on) to Firefox and forgot the whole ordeal...

The only problem I find is that I must manually set my thread notices...

How does it not follow, Mike? The question is really asking how was that data collected. The question was "I wonder if that includes China".  If you think questioning the validity of an assertion is illogical than we live in very different worlds.

Just out of interest, is there anyone here who can change their avatar at the moment?

I can't in IE, Firefox or Chrome.

I do not think you know how to ask questions very well.

Consider this:There are two possible answers to your question:

1) Yes

2) No

What meaningful, pertinent, information can you realize from those answers?

In my universe, some one who asks questions with out the ability to anticipate how the answer will be useful is from a different universe. So, in fact we agree on some things.

BTW, the source of that graph was attributed and you may freely go to that web site and look up the browser use by country or worldwide, including China, and you may peruse the explanations of how the stats are gathered.

And just so you can keep score... the answer was "yes"; China is included in that graph.
