Just insert the word "magic" between the words "You" and "Tube" in the URL of the video. 
 
Takes you to a site where you can download the video quickly and in multiple formats. Works great!

And I think You Tube violates copyrights every day with the shares of music files, no different than the old Napster in my opinion.

I used to do a combination of video download, format conversion, etc, but now I simply use Audacity (setup recording source to loop back within Audacity) to record the audio while Youtube is playing.

YouTube has pretty good algorithms for detecting copyrighted material. 

I like to download their algorithms on the sly.
