  • Which Bundled Plugins Will Work With Another DAW?

I've never had any DAW but SONAR and its predecessors, and I still don't have anything else installed to answer my own question, so does anyone know which of the many plugins that have been bundled with Cakewalk products over the years will work if I switch to a different DAW? Dimension Pro, Rhapsody, Session Drummer, Addictive Drums, True Pianos, those L-Phase plugins, V-Vocal, Melodyne and all the others? Anything in particular that will not work?

I deeply regret this decision by Gibson to pull the plug, but obviously the end of the road is now in sight, even if SONAR continues to work as is. May I suggest that Gibson go back to making guitars (and perhaps mandolins) and stay the frack out of our industry, or other businesses they know nothing about?

Most of the ones made to prior to X2 will work. True pianos will not work. Blue tube will not work. Dx ones will work but only a few DAWS support

These work. I am sure there are more!
Rapture Pro
Dimension Pro
Addictive Drums is XLN so no problem

...wicked
It would be sweet if they unlocked all the plugins now.

I can't think of any cakewalk made plugins that are locked besides adaptive limiter and a couple prochannel exclusive plugs

I have SONAR 8, SONAR 8.5, X1, X2, AND Platinum installed, and all the bundled  effects and instruments that came with those versions. I have bought few third party VSTs, relying mainly on the ones shipped with SONAR. I have been playing with a demo of Studio One 3 Pro today, and these are the bundled plugins that wouldn't work:
  • the Adaptive Limiter
  • all Nomad Factory FX (20 of them)
  • Breverb
  • TH3
  • True Pianos
The DXi plugins were scanned but don't appear in the S1 browser. I think they need something like J-Bridge, then they'll work. Pretty much all of the Cakewalk VSTIs work: Dim Pro, Rhapsody, Rhapsody Session, Studio Instruments, Session Drummer 3. Strangely, Roland R-Mix works, but V-Vocal doesn't even show in the browser. Might be another J-Bridge situation. Of course none of the Pro Channel-only FX work. CA-2A does, though, because it came as a PC effect and a regular VST. The PC effect I'll miss most is the Concrete Limiter.
