So I come here just now to ask this question while working on my music and learn they've just announced SONAR will no longer be developed. Well, that really sucks. I've been using SONAR since about 2004 and was really enjoying Platinum after finally upgrading from 8.5.

I guess while people are still reading this forum I'll ask this question about the metronome. I'm working on a song that has an inconsistent time signature. Rather than bothering to update the time signature every few measures, I just want a click track that plays the same sounding click at the same level on every beat. I tried manually setting the metronome to use the same audio sample and the same volume for the first beat and all other beats, but it still accents the first beat of every measure. Is there any way to make it so it stops doing that, or do I need to manually create a click track?

This is probably a bug no one found do to not using it like that, we used to have an option to accent the 1st beat and it looks like it's baked in now, but I did just test and if you set the 1st beat at -4 with the hi cowbell for both, it seems to match.

Hi. In Preferences, you can set the 1st beat to the same volume as the other beats,
Be sure to use the same sound. It defaults to (IIRC) Ping High (1st), and Ping Low (the rest).
All the best.
