I usually use a software tool called dbPoweramp whenever I need to convert audio from one file format to another (such as WAV to MP3, or even the other way if I have some odd need to do so).  

dbPoweramp integrates nicely in File Explorer in Windows, with a right-click context menu to initiate the conversion.   It can convert to and from nearly any audio file format and has a nice set of options and yet is easy to use and very quick.

I believe it supports AIFF file conversions, so you should be able to get it to do what you want reasonably easily:

As mentioned, AIFF-files need no conversion with SONAR.
AAF is another thing. It's designed for video pros:
