No problems but please click on the link I supplied above. This was your original post. Note your footer is now displayed on all your posts now. Could you please stick to that thread you started from so we don't have to ask the same questions again otherwise you are just creating confusion via duplication. Just copy and paste what you wrote here if you like. Thanks.

I don't think it's MIDI's fault. I am assuming that playing Audio Files using SoftSynths should sound similar to playing MIDI groove clips using SoftSynths. In my case, they don't. When playing grooveclips.mid, the synths aren't performing right. They sound pathetic. The synths are responding & playing MIDI ok, it is the sound they are producing. Hard to explain

Did you read my last two posts at all?
Are you actually expecting people to reply on both threads? The other thread has NOT disappeared :).
Do you simply disappear when people offer you help on other threads?

I'm trying to helpful here as you are new but sorry you are not making a great start here...
We are trying to help.

PLEASE STICK TO YOUR ORIGINAL THREAD, THIS THREAD IS A DUPLICATE.

Cheers...

Well CakeAlexS - If you work for CAKEWALK, I would recommend your BEING FIRED! I never ran up with such a jerk. If you don't work for them, you should learn how to be a descent human being. It seems as when I'm typing, so were you. So things were not in sync. I had decided to use my 2nd thread because it contained much more info. When you put a link on a message to me, you could have added (kindly) to use that thread. You didn't !!! Anyone who treats people as you do shouldn't be allowed in such a public environment. And I decided to disappear from the forum to get away from you.

From Potato Couch - Thank you all who are trying to help me. This is my first day on the forum. I was having a hard time communicating with a certain member earlier. I had decided to go with my second version of this thread earlier because it has more & better information than this thread. So, if you could reply on my thread down a few lines(on previous page) titled "My SoftSynths don't sound right when using MIDI. What'sup? Sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused. Mr. Couch

How do you use softsynths to play audio loops? I'm not really understanding the question.

To any good people still left here, there is an update to my problem. My SoftSynths sound bad playing both MIDI or .wav files. At first, I thought it was just MIDI. What I mean is, as asked by "slartabartfast", that there is some type of distortion or defect to the sound that is heard on all of the patches, and you can't tell a bass from a flute from a cymbal, they all sound similarly incorrect. When I first was playing .wav files from the Browser, it was great. Now those too sound terrible. The only thing I recall changing is the drivers from WDM/KS to ASIO, which seemed to have not affected the softsynths behavior, did help with latency though.

Mr Yukon Gold,

Please detail the exact soft synths and presets you are talking about, and if you have perhaps a Sound Cloud or similar place to upload examples of the issue, it would make it much easier to understand what you are trying to explain.

It is just not enough information to go on at the moment.

Thanks - we are trying to figure out how to help you, and welcome to the forum by the way.

And Cakealex does not to the best of my knowledge work for Cakewalk - he is a long-time user.  Some folks have different levels of tolerance for different thread etiquette matters, and it will always be that way.  His point is valid, and has been made - a couple of times now.

So, I do not believe anybody in this forum can hazard a guess as to what is happening without more information as to exactly what you mean, and since the perception of sound is a bit on the subjective side - I repeat my suggestion that you find somewhere (YouTube, Sound Cloud, wherever) to post snippets of tracks exhibiting this "doesn't sound right" behavior.
