How about looking at your Windows settings (your recording devices) in your toolbar probably at the bottom right of your screen. If your PC is monitoring anything other than your soundcard used by Sonar you may also be contributing to a clean sound that doesn't need to be there. I wasn't aware of that trick until I saw it explained in the Groove 3 Sonar X2 Explained video and after I followed that tip I eliminated the clean sound I was getting for my guitar along with the Guitar Rig effected sound through the Input Echo. So essentially now I only here the amp sim effected sound while playing/recording (while capturing only the dry, clean sound on the track).
