1) I see Pentagon 1 in my VSTi plugs, but it will not open.  Says not installed properly.  (not many DXi left in Sonar is there ??)
2) PSYN II will open and comes up and says "Pentgon Vocoder" right on the top...
3) I follow the instructions at the Cake website for Pentagon 1, cannot get any Vocoder action using the same steps with PSYN II.
4) As soon as I choose the input on the PSYN II plug as my mic input, it cuts of the midi input to the VSTi.

Anyone get this working with PSYN II or should I work on getting Pentgon 1 working?

Thanks

To my knowledge there is no way for PSYNII to modify an audio track. Pentagon is the only CW synth that can be used as a vocoder. Make sure that you are running SONAR as adminstrator or Pentagon will not work.

Run Sonar as administrator and pentagon should work.

Solved -- Pentagon has to be in the FX bin, not in the synth rack.....JUST LIKE THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY....D'OH...

Just used the instructions at http://www.cakewalk.com/s...reader.aspx/2007013086 in X1D Producer Expanded (since your .sig says you are running X1) and it worked OK. You do have to have some MIDI input to hear anything on the audio track.
