I don't get the documentation. As you put it, double click? If I double click I hear the not play twice. Seems llike the documentation is misprinted. Most of the time when I right click a note head I get the note properties. It's those weird times where I get a menu that drives me crazy. There is either a bug or something going on where the note is locked or something and only the menu pops up and not the note properties.

No prob - I see how lame my post was - I was trying to say that Staff View sucks, except for the one function I use it for with the midi stuff.  The ELP and Genesis stuff just jumped out - sorry for the lame fluff. 
 
Did you get a chance to check out that forum link I posted?  It seemed like someone in there had an explanation as to when the menu appears, versus the note properties.
 
I do agree that the doc does not always move forward with the functionality.  When X1 first came out, there was doc that was still talking about using a floppy disk for installs.  NICE

But yeah, check out that link if you haven't - seemed relevant, as far as I know.
