  • What am I Doing Wrong With Bounce to Track? (Solved)

I have two clips on different tracks that I would like to bounce to a new track;

-I select them with the right mouse button and then I select Bounce to Tracks
-I select Tracks under the Source CatagoryStereo under Channel Format, and set Dithering to None
-I make sure both tracks are selected in the Source Busses/Tracks selection box
-I leave everything checked under Mix Enables except for Bus FX
-I select the track where I would like the bounce to appear under Destination

Once the bounce has completed, a bounced copy of each original track shows up on both source tracks but not on my destination track and not mixed into one track.  If I route both source tracks to a bus and select this bus in the Source/Busses selection box the mixdown works correctly!

What am I doing wrong?  Why won't the tracks properly mix down?

Bouncing tracks does not mix the tracks. Try routing the tracks through a bus and bounce the bus.

Is there no other way?

It seems to me that this has worked properly in the past - I really have to route both tracks to a new temporary bus to make this work?

Solo the tracks with "Source Category" set to "Entire Mix"

I have various plugins running on my Master Bus, if I make sure I don't have Bus FX selected they won't show in the mixdown?

by pass the rack of the master first ...or unchek buses fx in the option boxe

Ok, I'll be sure to do that.

I thought this worked differently but I can work this way.

Thanks for the help.

I see you're sorted but if you think about it, if it didn't behave this way with tracks selected in the output source there'd be no way of bouncing multiple tracks at once without mixing them. AS pointed out use the buss option or complete mix.

by the way save the settings as a preset for next time , you solo the track , open "my preset" (with source asx master , fx buses uncheced ect ..) and done !
