Hello everyone,

I was hoping I can get some help on this....

Maybe I am just not doing something corrrectly...

I want to try several takes at recording a 4-bar piece...   and have each take muted as i record the next.   I have "Mute Previous Takes" checked in the preferences.   I select a region and set my punch points.  Then I arm a track and hit record, but it just keeps playing past the punch points!   Isn't it supposed to keep looping the 4 bars with the red selected punch points and mute my previous takes?

Thanks in advance!
Adam

I usually just use the looping function and edit the takes as needed. If it won't work how you are doing it, maybe try looping a section over the punch in points with the loop function.

I tried that.  It wont music previous takes.  Also its a 2nd step that shouldn't be needed.  Did i find a serious bug or am I doing something wrong?
