The real question is whether you can take the laptop to DESKTOP mode. If you can, then you're good. RISC/ARM processors do not support DESKTOP mode.

Just check it before you buy it or ask someone who knows on the phone. If it can go to desktop mode, you're good.

This image is from me running it on Windows 8. These numbers match the numbers on the same drivers when run on the same PC with the Windows 7 OS.

What I am saying is you shouldn't trust something that you can't be sure is working properly. No where does it state it works with Windows 8. 

Because Windows 8 uses different timings your results could be bogus.

If you follow the link you will see that it supports win 8 in both 32 and 64 bit modes.

I did and didn't see that Windows 8 is supported now I do. Therefore Gswitz is correct.
