I'm having a timber harvester in this summer to take out 7 of my walnut trees. They only take out a 6-10' section, pay you and leave. The rest I'll be cutting up for firewood. My last drummer who is retired to the rez has suggested a fellow who may dig out the stumps and claims that wood is fabulous for use in making guitars.
 
But all in all there could be wood left over, it's solid, and some of it looks like wood especially after a hard day of cutting and splitting wood :)
