They must be joking! What in earth shall Technical support do? Talk about it..over the phone? IT IS A BUG, period! No technical support in the world can fix it until they actually solve the graphical coded BUG! Please rest of you that experience the exact same problems, send a bug report so Cakewalk get it!

I have had a similar problem - twice.   Happened when I created a bus that had EQ on with Gloss (flat eq settings), G series,  and the concrete limiter with it set only to limit to .1   The concrete limiter had no bars lit up however, so this may be different.  It happened when I loaded X2a initially in Windows 7, then after I updated in Windows 8.

I stumbled onto turning off pro channel as the fix.  Was baffeling for a few minutes, but not hard to work around.  For our good friends at Cakewalk, if it is something I am doing wrong (and I know it could very well be), let us in on the change in habits required.   :o)

The two projects were small - 8 channels of voice, rhythmn guitar, lead guitar, bass, accoustic - with a full SD3 set. Not very many effects - mostly pro channel tools,  but I use a few go to tools from WAVES.   What I am trying to say is, the PC handles this stuff easily.  Put the CPU meters on in the toolbar and they weren't showing anything taxed.

My specs - a AMD A 64 6000+, Gigabyte MOBO, 8 gig Corsair ram,  PC is never connected to internet - no virus checking on,  1 7200  500 gig hd for OS and Sonar, 1 7200 1tb drive for audio, win 8, MOTU 828 mkII - firewire (TI).  I am going to swap out the CPU, MOBO and add another 8 gig in a few weeks..

This problem has been fairly well documented over the last year  and im surprised somthing that affects their flagship Pro Channel offerings ( PC2a and Conrete Limiter ) hasn't been fixed.
These are great emulations and having to save and re-open X1 constantly is a real obstacle to using them as creative tools.

Freddie, I know that you use UAD stuff like we do here and I thought it important to mention that this is consistant in projects tht do, and do NOT include UAD plugs.

Hi and thanks all!

I have own build computer, Intel CPU, 16GB RAM Corsair ddr3 1600mhz vengeance, ASUS motherboard, Seasonic 650w gold 80 plus, ASUS NVIDIA GT 640 2GB RAM, Intel SSD, 5 Normal Disk RAID 0 (Win fake raid), Windows 7 Ultimate x64, full tower Coolmaster  also a  1200 VA POWER UPS cleaning  all the power.

Settings in WINDOWS: AERO ON, Full graphic MAX, Processor Scheduler set to Program, MAX POWER Schema! MEM TEST! Check! All kinds of System check! Already done! BIOS: No overclock all Wait and sleep OFF!

  ******************************

It happens without UAD2.
I have also notice graphic abnormality module like PC-1176LN graphic disappear after having many 3part plugins inserted into PC chain? Fix: Close and reopen then Pro channel fix this.

After Update 2A, it sometimes works now after loading ProChannel presets with PC-LA2? Sometimes it won’t? Very strange? Is about NVIDIA driver and chip?* thinking?   Save and reload project fix the bug!
Thanks for the help Bub, LLyons, Featherlight and rest of you..

Best Regards
Freddie

Maybe ya'll can do the $20 "upgrade" to the VST version at the end of the month... see if it works properly in the FX bin. I'd add a winky wink smiley, but I'm not in the mood at the mo'.

I have had occasional random weirdness on ALL ProChannel plugs. I have had the CL close down as described here, too.

I am inclined to think the fault is in the ProChannel itself, not necessarily the plugs.
