ok exporting is a really cool new trick. thank you for that guys. but jb was spot on when he mention taking the buffer down to 0. worked perfectly. i really appreciate this forum, and as soon as i can i will pass info down to someone needing help. this forum makes sticking with sonar sense the 90's all worth it. thankx guys

Glad you got it sorted.

As Bristol Jonesey said, export is the way to go.

I have found that the BounceBufSizeMsec also helps overcomes issues with using fast bounce on export too.

I was having problems with time based effects, certain synth patches, and even MIDI timing going haywire if fast bounce was enabled on export.  Bounce in real time solved this, but was a PITA.  Changing the BounceBufSizeMsec to zero solved them all.

It helps having a fast system if you do this, as it will slow down fast bounce, but not as much as having to do audible bounce in real time.

i started with cakewalk 6 circa 97 with a gina by echo card and i tell ya "i am still learning every week" crazy how much time and effort it takes to learn and get good at mixing with these programs. i have all the respect in the world for the fellas that do this for a living. thankx again guys, the new album will be out in a month or so.

I know the feeling.

I started with Sonar 6, and am still learning every day.  I read books and watch videos etc. every day, as well as working at my DAW, and still learn something new all the time.

As for mixing, I highly recommend Roey Izhaki's "Mixing Audio" and Mike Senior's "Mixing Secrets".  I read and re-read them constantly.  Scott G's "Sonar Power" books and great, too.

It seems to be a never ending process.  I have spent most of my professional life in and out of studios as a musician, but never really got involved in the technical side of recording much.  Starting up my own modest project studio has been a real eye opener.  There is SO MUCH to learn.

I look forward to hearing your new album, post back when it's done.  Good luck with it.
