Thanks SteveC! Glad you liked it.
And thank you kakku for the comments. The changes are pretty subtle but there are basically 4 sections not counting opening/closing. There's the main track, the part where it gets more layered, the breakdown, and then the part towards the end where the heavy drums and echoing synths come in. But yes, it is pretty subtle the changes.
It's not that this kind of music would never need to have big changes and full on chorus sections and whatnot, but when creating the piece in particular it felt right to keep it a steady build. Some of the songs on my album follow a structure like this one, some have more traditional verse/chorus/verse structures (even though it's still all instrumental), and some basically keep growing and adding as they go with no stopping of the groove. My genre is kind of in a weird in between state... Making music for film is certainly my main focus and goal... However I'm not a pen & paper, completely organic composer as I deal with mostly synths and electronic stuff and even use loops here and there (not much... mainly just in drum patterns or some kind of arp or something). And most of my influences are bands like The Cure, Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails haha. My album is a collection of music that draws from all of my influences, which makes it especially hard to classify. I like the term "electronica" but a lot of times i have to pick between things like "Electronic/Dance" and "Alternative Rock" and it's not really either of those haha.
Anyway, thanks for the comments. I appreciate the feedback. I'm working on my 2nd album now, and I'll definitely keep it in mind.
