As far as the Studio One crossgrade price is concerned, I wish they'd release it on Monday. That was we could compare the half-price Black Friday Sale price and the crossgrade price and make an informed decision. I tried to order Studio One yesterday, but my salesman at Sweetwater and I missed each other somehow. I'm debating aiting until Tuesday, but $225 for Studio One and Notion combined is pretty scary (and I don't know that Notion will be part of any crossgrade price anyway).

$149 was quoted at one point for the crossgrade price, but no one seems to know from where that price originated.

Keep in mind VAT charged at your countries rate at the Presonus Store. Whether that special price will be $149 inc or ex VAT. Might impact on your decision ..

Audiodeluxe are still selling it at $168 outright, thats the price right through to Paypal ..

Am considering S1. Have been checking out user issues on their forum. Here's an excerpt from a post that is a concern. Thoughts?

<<First, let me say that I completely agree that the CPU efficiency in Studio One is definitely behind that of other DAWs. Coming from Sonar and Pro Tools, I would say Sonar, at least, is 2-4 times more efficient than Studio One with large projects. Sonar just did a huge overhaul of it's CPU efficiency and specifically it's multi core efficiency and it's just incredibly powerful now. I see no reason why Studio One shouldn't be able to do the same.>>

That's from Sept of last year....Since then there has been an update, that included a lot of fixes in this area and a lot of added features.
