I'm sitting with the sound to a trailer mixed in stereo which I now want to convert to a surround mix.

I'm aware that I can't convert stereo tracks/buses into surround-tracks/buses, but what I'd like to do is this:

In my stereo mix I've got a "premaster-bus" with lots of automated data.
Is it possible to copy-paste the different automation-lines from this stereo-bus into the new surround-pre-master-bus?

When I try, the copied data gets pasted back into the original bus even though the new bus is selected.

Thanks!

When pasting, try using Paste --> Special.

There are options in there which allow you to define destination track etc.

Thanks Bristol_Jonesey

I've tried that now and Sonar doesn't cake what bus I choose as destination
It still pastes into the same bus I copied from =/

Bug in me or bug in Sonar..? :/

There is a function called "Cloning a track" or does my memory fail?? If there is one, try that. You could then delete the clips and leave the envelopes (??). Does Drag'n'drop include envelopes, or is there a setting to make it do so?
