Happy to be of service. It helps me solidify all the mumbo jumbo I've been cramming into my noodle. ;-)

Hey Tracy!!!
Ive been out all day and just getting back in.  Getting ready to check out what ya have done with the wonderful help ya got from everyone.

This place is so comforting with the helpfulness everyone is willing to contribute

It is a long learning curve just coming into it and you will get better in time.

Beepster nailed it!!!  Take breaks and take them often.  Your ears will get burnt,  tired,  etc...
Long breaks when working and trying to sort something like that out will do wonders.

Make others mixes that you like a goal to achieve down the road with the learning curve.  It s not an overnight fix and one cant compare someone elses equipment and techniques to another and expect the same results.  It will come in time to what you want or expect with the experience you will gain in the entire process.  Just takes time and learning.  Im not where I want and its so easy to get caught in that rut that it is never ready.  Ive learned to get what I capture as good as I can and then move on to the next project-if you dont, it will always seem to be at that point of"its not quite right yet" LOL

Just have fun and keep on moving forward-but dont forget to take a break, whether its an hour or days depending on what your hearing.

digi2ns & beepster. I hear ya, I get so caught up in the whole process, I love it and I hate it all at the same time. We are still recording tracks, so I will prbably drive myself nuts for the next couple of months, but then I will just do the best I can and be done with it. I am certainly improving, just wish i could improve faster. I am an addict now, spend all my free time in the music room or on the forum. Saturday night for example, mixed until 11:00 now I am non the forums, reading posts trying to help and hopefully learn a few thing while trying to help. I appreciate all help I have received.

Thanks All!!

Hey man!!!

I really think you are beating yourself up on this.

I loved the first mix to begin with.  The second IMO shows signs of yamaking changes after burning your ears out.

You are doing great with it so far!!!

One thing Ive seen done and suggested time and time again-
Hire someone like Danny Danzi for what they provide you with a Mastered Mix that includes a video tutorial on the mix they do for you.  You should pick up on so much that you can knock years off of what you are questioning yourself on

Anyway-Loved the original/first mix as I said.  Keep it up.

Id move your future mixes now down to the song forum. So many great mixers down there giving great advise
