Since I updated to X2a, many of my VST effects have gone missing, boost11, Auto Tune EFX, DecaBuddy, Harmony EFX and many more. They're all gone. I mean they are shown as registered in plug-in manager window but I cannot use them in audio tracks. I noticed that X2a has some subfolder arrangement but the missing ones are not to be found anywhere. Please help.

Did you RESET and RESCAN your VST plugins after applying the patch?

Never mind. I rescanned the VST plugins and they're all back. EDIT: Thanks, scook. I saw your message after I posted this reply. :-)

Is this absolutely necessary after applying the X2a patch?

I believe that's what is stated in the Install instructions, so yes!

Not mandatory, just recommended from http://www.cakewalk.com/s...reader.aspx/2007013301

After installing the X2a update we recommend resetting and re-scanning your VST plugins. SONAR X2a has a new mechanism for handling file systems without short file name support. While this is not mandatory, re-scanning will allow SONAR to properly detect and handle this scenario where applicable.
