Word!

We just had to do a major paid upgrade for the umpteenth time just to keep doing what we have already been doing for the last five years. I hate their guuuuuuuuuts. Even if that is unseemly to say.

Oh God I forgot about features just suddenly becoming unusable and forcing you to upgrade...the only reason I'm using whatever version I'm using now is because the last version I had suddenly lost the ability to email invoices to customers and I was having to manually attach invoices to emails myself. Out of frustration of doing that, I ended up splurging however many hundreds of dollars on a brand spanking new version, but no doubt that will be out of date soon too. Meanwhile my accountant doesn't want me to upgrade because their office uses an earlier version and the new company files aren't backwards compatible....I think basically Quickbooks is some funky old DOS program that's been spruced up and patched and added to higgledy-piggledy until it is what it is today, mutton dressed as lamb. Bah!

Every single upgrade changes everything, makes the program more difficult and worse, takes away a feature you've come to rely on. El Sucko.

I feel like I should clarify, in saying this, I mean no offense to Sonar.....

I once lost a part time job as QB admin when the owners refused to do an upgrade and just let that portion of their business go out of business. Shucks, it was a local plumber who was only one mile from my country home, plus I had the security of knowing if anything went wrong with my plumbing, they'd be right there :)

Considering how much plumbers cost, I think I would have paid for the upgrade myself!  LOL.

Still running v4.0 here.
Downside, I have to use a 32 bit machine.
Wait a minute, it's accounting, pretty basic stuff!
Manually attach a pdf, or buy into intuits constant update hassles?
V4 works great here...

Oh, and just to be clear, Adobe Flash is the worst pile ever!
