I used audio snap for drum replacement on a snare. I copied the midi info into a new track whare I'm using SSD4 drums. The problem is the midi note is for the kick. How do I change this to snare.

Figure out what note the snare should be and "TRANSPOSE" all of your notes to get there.

I know what the the snare note is, I don't know where to change it. Or how to change it.

There are different ways to do it, but one is to open the track in Piano Roll View, double click the kick note on the left virtual keyboard in PRV to select all of those notes in the row, then hold the shift key and drag one of the notes up or down to the new note location. All of the notes will move to the new location, and holding shift will constrain the movement to up and down (won't be able to move left or right and accidentally change the notes' placement in time).

StepD thanks, I'll try it.

I think this could be done in the Event Inspector Module.

Remove an unneeded module in the Control Bar by right clicking on it and select Hide Module.

Right Click an empty space on the Control Bar and select Event Module Inspector (it should appear in the Control Bar... if not you need to remove another module because the Event Inspector is kind of big).

Open the PRV for that drum track (select the clip in the Track View then go to Views at the top of your Sonar window and select the Piano Roll View)

Then in the Piano Roll View right click and drag to lasso all the notes you want to change or select them some other way.

Punch in the note value for the sound you want to change those notes to in the Event Inspector Module and press Enter.

...

I think that's how it's done. I watched Scott Garrigus perform something similar in a Digifreq video he posted the other day.

But yeah... lots of ways to do this. That is just one.

Cheers.

The easiest is stepd's solution.

IMHO of course !

Yeah... my suggestion is probably a little convoluted.

Ok, I'm a PRV idiot. I was able to get to the PRV view and change the note, but the midi wasn't lined up. Now I have the midi notes lined up and went to repeat the process and it's not working. I was able to hear the drum notes by hitting a key in the PRV. Now I don't hear anything. I'm a moron.
