For those of us not yet interested in moving to Windows 8 with a touch screen monitor, this sounds like it may be interesting. www.leapmotion.com The pre-order price is reasonable ($70), but I have no idea how the software - running in the background - would impact Sonar's performance.

That's actually pretty cool. It solves the problem of having to reach forward to touch the screen while sitting at a desk. That way you don't have to have the screen right in front of you. Yeah, accuracy and performance might be tricky. We'll have to wait and see... thanks for sharing the link.

That looks awesome. One of the criticisms of Touch Screens in general is the concern of fatigue from holding your arm straight out in front of you. I would think the Leap technology would be even worse as you don't even get the relief of light contact with a touch screen.
I am still scheming in my own mind about how to change my existing DAW's dual-22" screen displays (non-touch) to a configuration which has one non-touch monitor above and behind a larger touch screen that is almost flat (desk like). To work I would want to replace the keyboard and mouse with a virtual version on the touch screen. (Not enough keyboard entry in SONAR to worry about the need for a real tactile keyboard IMO (virtual keyboards seem to be all over the place - virtual mice/touchpads on the other hand are relatively rare).)
Sure looks interesting though -
