Hi-

We worked with Neyrinck to bring SONAR compatibility to the V-Control Pro iPad controller. It is now available today for download at the iTunes stores.

Any thoughts of making this for the Android systems?

TouchDAW on Android works nicely with SONAR, although V-Control may have more features... haven't tried it.

Hmm so Cake has been working on stuff for the Apple iPad... Wonder if they have any plans on releasing SONAR for Mac?

No, this isn't our product. It's by Neyrinck and we simply helped them with some SONAR compatibility issues with their product.

Ah gotcha. Does that mean there is no future for SONAR availability on Macs? I'm a happy SONAR user on my Windows 7 system, so its just a matter of curiosity

Neyrinck's compatibility with SONAR really has nothing to do with what OS SONAR runs on now or in the future. Their ipad app is just a control surface app for SONAR, not a DAW or anything like that. As for SONAR running on other OS's in the future, that's not something I can comment on.

Sorry to butt in but any idea if/when the Mackie CS dll will be updated? - CWBRN 6309. Thanks.

Well that app looks absolutely incredible. Maybe I'm a cheapskate but $49!!! I already have AC7. I'll stick with that for when I get the urge to control X1 with my iPad.

I also have AC-7 Core running, but there is a free version of V-Control so I installed that. Seems to be running and it looks like it would be more useful than AC-7 Core because you can change the focus to any window running on your computer, including plug-ins. The only thing missing in the instructions, since they have not yet been updated to include SONAR, is that you must choose "Mackie Control" as the control surface in SONAR's Edit, preferences, Control Surface. I kept looking for a V-Control or similar entry, and did not find it. And I'm still looking for a labelled diagram.
