Here is the same (testing the free version) ... I have Bonjour installed, my iPad found my DAW PC, the network is the same for both, for I am inside my studio, so I am using the wi-fi signal from the router connected to my PC, control surface is mackie control, midi in and out is V-control... And nothing... Sonar says "connecting" below mackie control (transport bar) and thats it.

here's an update.  I could get VControl to work on only ONE of my laptops (I have two) and not my main studio computer.  After doing some frustrating research I found I needed to have Bonjour installed in order for it to work.  I installed iTunes (not happy that I have to install that) and now the laptop that didn't see VControl does.  I'm a bit reluctant to install iTunes on my work (studio) PC but I guess if I want to get this to work, I have to!  So, can one install ONLY Bonjour and NOT iTunes?

Yes, I don't have iTunes installed on my DAW but I do have Bonjour installed.

To Mooch and Sacalait, in case it helps, here are the settings I am using in SONAR X2, once NeyFi is running: Edit, Preferences, Devices: checkbox on for V-Control, V-Pan 1 and V-Pan 2 in both the Inputs and Outputs. Edit, Preferences, Control Surfaces: reading left to right, Mackie Control-1, V-Control, V-Control. Checkbox on for WAI.

I popped for the full version.  So far so good (although not without the standard software quirks).  I'm a one-man show (producer) and have been tied to the desk/mouse/keyboard up until now.  I checked functions in the artist room and everything I need works- play, record, solo, mute, rewind, etc.  So providing I don't encounter anything totally freaky, I'd have to admit this is one of the best $50 investments I've EVER made in my studio!  I have no doubt things can improve as time goes on but man, this is NICE!!

I don't remember why I couldn't get it to work. This is an older thread. But it's been working fine for me now for quite a long time ... I love the v control on my ipad it's awesome .... I think I just looked at the v control web site forum section and followed the instructions there...
