  • Can't get help for soft synths

I recently tried using three soft synths, independently, one at a time.  I tried Dimension LE, but when the control panel came up and I pressed F1, no help came up.  I tried searching the web for online help but didn't come across it.

Then I tried Rapture.  It came up and help for it came up.

Then I tried Z3ta+.  Same problem as with Dim LE.

How do I get these help files loaded and/or where can I find help online?

z3ta+ documentation is in "c:\program files\cakewalk\z3ta+\documentation"
I do not have DimLE but I would guess the docs for it are in a similar location.

If you have your original downloaded files for X2, in the Dimension Pro Setup Files folder there is a Documentation\EN Folder with the CHM file in it. Click on that and you should get the Help info.

I can also find my dim pro, rapture and Z3ta at Start> Cakewalk> and dim pro/rapture/z3ta. You can also try start and then type the synth's name in the search box. My rapture's doc is stored in C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Rapture\Documentation. You can copy my program file link and paste it in the start> search box.

Good luck

This probably won't help, but at least you'll know it's not just you...

I'm using X2 Pro (64-bit) on Windows 7, and the F1 help key doesn't work for me for a number of synths/plugins.  I haven't been able to get it to work for DimPro, so I ended up putting a shortcut to the help file on my desktop as a workaround.

For the original z3ta+, the F1 key works for me.  But for z3ta+ 2, it doesn't work and I can't find a help file for that version at all.  But under "Options", there is a link to a user guide pdf, which I use as a substitute for "Help".  I'd be interested in knowing if a real help file for it exists.

I don't even see a help option when running Dim Pro in stand-alone mode.
