Hi All!
I don't really know if this belongs in the 'getting started' section, but I don't know where else to ask this. I use Sonar X1 at home. My girlfriend, who lives a few hours away, has a MAC with Garageband. I sometimes find myself there on weekends when I don't have to work and she does, and am trying to figure out if there is a way I can record during those days and bring the files back to Sonar. My estimation, from digging online, is that I can record and simply export each track to it's own wav file and import them into Sonar. I'm guessing that as long as I set the bpm in sonar to the same as Garageband before I import the files, things should match up correctly. This would be a necessity, since I would likely be using Ezdrummer on both maches and so I would need the midi to line up perfectly.
Does anyone know of a better method to do this? The other thing I was contemplating was if there is a standalone unit for relatively cheap ($300 or so) that would work better for this. I'm just looking for any feedback from folks who have done this type of thing before.
Thanks!
