Voda La Void
Hopefully this one captures the creepy feeling I'm looking for.  You can really hear the Alice Cooper and Radiohead influences on this one.

The song is about betrayal and a demented murderous mind in the after math of dismembering his lover.  Good times!

Tim, this is as you described it.  Somewhat creepy and dark.  The words were a little hard to hear, but it fit the mood of the song.  Very creative and well done.

I was just about to give up (seemed repetitive) when the middle part where instruments dropped out and bass and vocals (acoustic also) took over.  Is it creepy?  yes.  I do believe it captured what you are describing.  Man, I don't know what to say.  I couldn't understand most of the lyrics but maybe that's good!  This song will haunt me for awhile.  The Post Partem Depression theme for Lynn's song was a bit depressing but a fact of life.  Though your theme is also a fact of life, I don't think I want to know what you were saying.  Maybe that's the cowardly side of me. I thought the music was really interesting and good.

Yes very creepy in the sense where it takes you into a dark place hoping to make it out alive ! LOL
I agree with Lynn vocals could be slightly up front a bit more , overall its a hit on Halloween .
I have been watching lot's of horror movies lately , wife is getting worried about me but here's the thing some of these movies I have been watching have some cool electronica music in them and effect's in them , gives me some ideals for some of my music I like creating .
She doesn't understand , DANG she locking the door now ! LOL

Lynn - thanks for the critique.  I am getting the same from others too about bringing the vocals up.

evadianepug - hey thanks for listening and I'm only kind of sorry I creeped you out.  I will bring the vocals up to help in understanding the words.  They're not graphic.  Perhaps I should have gone more extreme, but I was channeling Alice Cooper sitting in a room with pieces of his wife around him...in that "Steven" mindset...

Electro - thanks for listening, also.  I had a similar exchange on Facebook with a friend of mine.  I had posted something about writing a song about cutting up my wife into pieces.  And I purposely left that dangling there, without any 'lol' or comedic validation.  My friend asked what my wife thought about it and I said "I don't know, she locked the bedroom door on me..."

We apparently have a similar demented side...nice to meet you, brother.  Ha ha!

Man, I like it! Love all the little instrumental bits that rise and fall in the background. And I really like the vocals in the last minute of the track. The low res, telephone sounding, vocals in the back are definitely creepy.

I can certainly hear the Cooper and the York and Greenwood influences. Well done.

How the heck am I supposed to go to sleep now!!!

Very creepy! I agree about the vocals. Maybe not bring them up with dbs but compression. One thing I've been doing is use the PC76 and setting a long attack and short release with about -8db of gain reduction and set the mix knob to 40% so you get more of the original signal and them chain maybe two of the LA-2A emulations using -0.5db of gain reduction on each. It seems to work well and the compression is not really audible.

Nice work but stop creeping me out!!! Give me fair warning so I can listen in the daytime. ;-)

OK, this was really cool.  I likes it.

I was actually getting a little Pink Floyd music/Marilyn Manson vocal vibe here and there, but who cares, the demented side shines through.

Nice work Tim. You seem to have the knack of picking a theme and bringing it to life with music. Love the vocals, I agree that they could be a bit more up front, not necessarily louder, just with more clarity.

Listening through to the end several things cam to mind Sid/Floyd, Captain Beef heart.  The vocal could do with being a little louder but that is a thing for you to decided.

Nicely done invoked the atmosphere you where after thanks for sharing
