Nice job.  Sounds very good.  I like the feel and ambiance.
Very good low end (clear and tight).
Cool guitar riffs and leslie effects.

i like it!

i don't think it needs anything changed to the guitar approach...

and rather than dwelling on what you think you can't pull off anymore,
think instead about 'deconstructing' the guitar you hear in your head, to the most basic melody and harmony you can nail, and THAT is your strength.

i don't think any part of would fall under 'jazz' category...
it's really a nice pop piece, if anything.....

good mix, it would be really easy to place a vocal over this, in my head, i hear a female vocal, like a joss stone

Thanks Bat! Appreciate the comments coming from a player like you. Yeah, this is far more R&B than Jazz, the more I listen to it. I wish Joss would knock on the door! :)

Thank you Jimmy! Geting the low end under control gets easier with every mix (not!). I love the organ leslie sound in this. That was VB3, in case anyone is interested.

Really good mix Dan. I wouldn't have noticed anything about the guitar at all honestly. I was looking over your bandcamp page and I thought it said "feed this artist" at the bottom.....it really said " feed FOR this artist". So what kind of feed are they giving you? :) Good luck with it!!

Very nice piece.  I love the production and the arrangement, and the mix.  There are so many great parts - the organ (curious as to which organ?), the bell part, the sax., all the pads in the background.  And the effects are done well.  I like how you eq'd the snare.  The guitars sound really good.  I'm with Bat - if anything, just simplify them.

I think it's a beautiful tune.  Guitar work was not wailing but fitting tastefully into the structure.  When I read the intro I thought you were really bad.  Not!  Good tasteful guitar is never bad.  I liked Rob's "deconstruct" advice.  Really cool.  I wouldn't know what genre to put it in,  it's good whatever you call it.

Thanks Geno! Organ was VB3 layered with an organ from my Triton. I'm actually glad you mentioned the snare. I really had to tweak the EQ a lot more than I was comfortable with to get it to snap like that. At first, I thought it might be too harsh.

Nice, nice work.

I would use the word "lush" to describe the instruments in this.... Loved the inversions and bass not playing on the root in a number of places.... bells are perfect.

Really well done.  I could see where some soaring, singing , wailing (as you say) guitar could fit into the early parts of the song.... Kinda a Santana Europa sound.... singing sweet smooth gain.... BUT.... what you DID play in there is super tasty, so I wouldn't be sweating over what could have been.
