Thanks to the props from FBB and others.  I think it's great that we have a good community of sharing folks for stuff like this.  There are some functions that I didn't even know were there from taking a quick look over this guide.  I hope to sit down with it and really get into all the other parts I've been missing and see if they work for me in a flow perspective.

Thanks for the doc, FBB - maybe I'll be able to get around to a video guide to go with a few of these.

Hey FBB and everyone else....
Just found out that Behringer have released new Drivers compatable with W7 (32 & 64 bit).
Drivers

Downloaded them and they work fine, give you three BCF Midi ports now, also BCView now works again....

Will put up a new post also.

Hey that's great news. I'm still clonking on with XP on my DAW, one of the main reasons being BCF view not working on Vista or 7. Now I just need to check the Alesis website for drivers... no I'm not holding my breath.....

Yeah - I found and installed those new midi drivers in Windows 7 32bit a few days ago, and sure enough, the BCFView DOES work again.  I feel like I'm missing something though - and feel like this used to be here;  if I'm in track or pan mode with the knobs working as pans for all the channels, all I ever get to see in the BCFView is the Pan.  I'd really like to see volume, but I can only see that in cases where I put it in channel strip mode...

Anyway - a bit OT for the thread...

You should be able to assign the rotaries to volume in track view, info in the guide on how to. The only way you can assign volume to rotaries in pan mode is by using the flip mode. The LED should reflect that.

Hi all

Does BCFView work if you are running Windows 7 X64  and  Sonar 8  X64  ?

Thanks,
Tim

FBB: I don't want to use the rotaries for volume - I want to use the sliders for vol and knobs for pan, but I'd like to see the volume reflected (instead of pan) in BCFView.

Not really crucial, just that the app pretty much just sits there for MOST of the time and I've gotten pretty used to not having it open - between the WIA display and the ability to make it only show the visibile tracks on screen and my usage of it, I just don't look at the BCFView much anymore.

the ability to make it only show the visibile tracks on screen

Hi Blades..
Could you explain what you mean in this statement ???
Are you able to get Sonar to only show the track controlled by the BCF ??>
I have been able to do this in Reaper.

Yes, I have it working on my Win 7 64 bit OS with the latest MIDI driver.  I had to work at it to get everything working but after installing/uninstalling and reinstalling (along with many PC reboots) the new Win 7 64 bit drivers, everything is working.

I had it working last night after the dust settled from all the software changes trying to get it working and when I powered on the PC this morning the first thing I did was try it.  Powered on my system rack and the BCF2000, started the BCFView and then Sonar. It's all still working.
