Hi!

This is in X1d, but I'm hoping someone has experienced this or can point me in the right direction.

I was using Sonar one day and noticed that F11 no longer added markers while in track view. It is set to do so in the key-bindings dialog though.

Any idea why?
In the dialog, F11 has a little * (asterisks) next to it, but I couldn't find what that means within "help".

Full screen mode I believe (consistency with IE, Firefox etc).

I don't have any experience with X1 but if it was inserting markers with F1, and then it wasn't... could be your F Lock key has toggled off the F key functions? Easy enough to check and rule out.

There's an F Lock key??? haha I should check that out. I know about caps lock, scroll lock, num lock. But I've never stumbled across the F lock. Cool beans.

I had installed X2 but went back to X1, and am thinking that perhaps that messed with some key bindings. Thx everyone!

Just curious - why did you revert to X1d from X2?

"why did you revert to X1d from X2?"
Because X1d Expanded and Win 7x64 are a "mature and robust" audio production environment.
Not trying to be contentious here, I'm using X2a, but ONLY for personal non-critical stuff.
We're still at least 1 patch away.

At Foo,
The "*" indicates you have modified a keyboard shortcut.
F11 does not insert a marker on my system, M does (as noted by g_randy above).
I've extensively modified my Key Shortcuts, there's an import/export dialog in the Prefs.

X2 has metering issues where the meters would just stop working. Also, there were too many issues with track lanes.

I don't have time to see if the latest updates have anything fixed. I'm doing paid sessions with clients present and I don't trust X2 yet to perform smoothly.

I am not trying to be negative against X2, it's just the reality of how my personal update-to-X2 process went down. If I catch show-stopping bugs within the first 30 mins of using the program it tends to throw me off of it until I have time to make sure the updates are working properly.

This is 100% accurate in my experience with X2.
I am not trying to get into an X1 vs X2 thread by any means here, but I am not confident with X2 because it simply had more than one show-stopping bug within 30 mins of launching it for the first time.  A few oddities is ok I guess, but not being able to mix within a half hour is not acceptable.

Yeah - I was just curious - Have you posted your issues?  And have you installed the X2a patch?

Again, just curious - not trying to start a row with folks.
