howdy y'all -

Here's this week's song, I Am Your Art: https://kicksville.bandcamp.com/track/i-am-your-art

Not surprisingly, it's about art Or music....or whatever it is you should be doing but aren't.... If you're really curious, we posted a series of mixes of this tune on our Soundcloud page: the original demo, one of the working mixes, and now the final so you can see how a song develops around here. Here's the playlist: https://soundcloud.com/kicksville/sets/i-am-your-art-roughs

cheers!

Conrad, this is seriously terrific.  It has all the polish you'll ever need and is radio ready.  I like this style of music very much, and I get a little bit of King Crimson with this.  I'll be listening for more Kicksville music.

I agree, this is radio ready. Unusual singing style but I like it. Well played instruments also.

The first few seconds of the song come across as real crap and gave me a bad first impression of the song. It seems like the bass is a bit over bearing. However once I started getting into the groove of the song it was a lot better. There are a lot of interesting things going on in the background too. Maybe work on polishing the intro a bit as to not turn off the audience to an otherwise cool tune.

High on the quirk factor and very well done.  I'm just listening on an iHome iM60 mini speaker and it sounds pretty good.

Nice comes a cross very sweet here on the A7x's, nice clean open mix everything nicely defined, good track well performed and well captured.

Really nice mix - punchy, clear and open.   The song itself is what I'd expect from Kicksville at this point so well done there - quirky and cool.   Love the guitar lines during the closing section; tasty stuff and great tone.

I love this.  The vocals remind me a touch of Fred Schneider's style.  The comments above are right --- this is very professionally done.
Excellent!!!!
