It was a disapointment when Touchstone announced their disbandment when Kim Seviour left the band due to ill health.

It appears they now have a new singer and the band will continue. See Tim hall's Blog.

After months of teasers and speculation, Touchstone have announced Polish-born Aggie as their new lead singer. She has a background in musical theatre, having performed in productions of Phantom of the Opera, so fronting a rock band will be something of a change in direction.
The band plan to release a double A-side single in the coming months, with the album “Dangerous Days” due in the new year. She will be making her live debut with the band in December with dates at The Borderline in London, The Robin 2 in Bilston, and a third venue yet to be announced.

Hayley Griffiths has proved making the move for musical theater to prog can be very sucessful in Karnataka so I am looking forward to the new Touchstone.

People eventually survived the change of lead singer in Marillion so maybe it will work here too!

Shame about Genesis though

I think Mostly Autumn are better with Olivia Sparnenn that they were with Heather Findley and that departure seemed pretty cataclysmic at the time.

Personally, I like Genesis with Phil singing, but I think of them as a completely different band.

I was (mostly) jesting. For me it was Steve Hackett's departure at tipped the scales. I do like "Trick of the Tale" and "Wind and Wuthering" but I never bought any of the subsequent albums. After Steve's departure they were a very different band, still a good band but not quite my thing.
