Bingo! Hey thanks.
A very useful tool for me.
I still love those drum and bass combos in the DR880 and recording them separately was a pain not to mention the after-take tweaking to get them separated.

If I were you I would use SD3 and SI bass. I think you will find those more pleasing. Then you'll want BFD2 LOL and Kontakt 5 and Bettery 3 and .......

Lol, yes I've been playing with the SI instruments a bit and can see where that's headed. SAS- Samples Acquisition Syndrome.

Also I am pretty sure if you simply save the track as a standard midi file then either open or import it, Sonar would create the 2 tracks.

I am recording midi directly from the DR880 thru TTS-1 to an instrument track and it comes in with bass and drums mixed.
Are you saying there is a setup where it would come in as two tracks?
