HELP! Two identical busses, but one's louder than the other?

I have two identical busses. Both have the EXACT same settings. They both output to the same Master bus.

When I set a track's output to one bus, it is louder than when I set it to the other bus. How is this possible?? I've checked everything, literally...

I know it's all identical and stuff but double check ... An aux on a track sending a single out to something extra or something like that

Just checked, nothing else. In fact, if I mute both busses, there is no sound.

Then I am afraid the only other explanation is its just as much as mystery of as how exactly did those Egyptians build those pyramids.

I concur. I've resorted to just lowering the volume of the louder bus to make it the same as the other... sigh.

What FX are on the 2 busses, do the output gains indicate the same and are all settings the same?

I encountered a similar problem a few months ago. Turned out that the PC on one of the busses was set to Post FX bin and the other was not.

Just a thought. Are there any tiny "+" signs next to the volume and pan controls on all the tracks and buses?

I would try flipping the phase on the busses and see what happens. It sounds like one of the busses may be getting some phase cancellation.

I concour that there*must* be something different somewhere. Routing as suggested? Gain?
