As above?

In NI's drummer instruments there is a x2 button to make the MIDI grooves double time when you drag them into your DAW. I'd really like to be able to make other MIDI beats double time....is there any way to do this within Sonar short of manually dragging each note or subtracting ticks from them in the event list?

Sure, just select the MIDI clip or track and choose Process > Length. Type in 50 for the percentage and click OK. That will shorten the clip to half its length but also make it play double-time. From there you can just copy/paste it or Groove clip it to loop it.

Double the tempo?

Excellent! Doubling the tempo would work too I suppose, but that would mean I would have to lengthen the parts I don't want to switch to double time. Much easier just to process the beats!
