Try saving the clip and opening it in another project for editing.

Bounce to clip.

Is this only in one project? Might be corrupt. Do you have an earlier version you can try out?

Also... the Event List scares me.

Bob. Try changing the editor for the clip using the clip editor menu (top right of the clip). I think that will sort it for you. I seem to recall running into something similar a while ago.

The editor selection actually changes the clip type and perhaps there's something relevant to your troubles in that process.

Hey - I am game to try this, but can you explain what I would change from and to?

Well, I tried all the choices, and went back to Event List, and still cannot delete.

I will try to bounce later, after first trying to copy to another project.

Thanks for the ideas - hope something will work for me.  It would seem something got internally jazzed up, which would although annoying be OK, but only if a work-around is available in some fashion.

Depends on the type of clip it is now. Try changing it to something different to the present and changing it back to the type you want.

Switch the output to another patch, something chromatic rather than drum mapped.

Bounce to audio.

Open the audio in V-Vocal.

Turn it into MIDI.

Take the MIDI and send it to the original patch you were listening to.

HTH.

mike
