Loving X2a, but I wonder if it would not be better if all the active clips in a track were kept "on top" and visible instead of seeing some muted clips when one collapses the take lanes. It's a little hard to work out why you're hearing an instrument while seeing a muted clip! Maybe there is a setting I can't find?

Is it only me that thinks this is not ideal?..

That would be cool if muted clips went underneath automatically, but maybe could introduce a problem where it would be hard to bring them forward if needed to unmute, delete etc.

In general I like where you are heading with this though.

IDK... I just use the track manager to get crap out of my way. That might be an interesting feature to have though. I wouldn't want it as default though. It's like the auto zoom. Sometimes it's cool... other times it's a huge pain. Glad I figured out how to turn it off rather soon after installing.

@Beepster - I think they are talking about muted clips in a track being on top of unmuted clips, Beep.  The track manager would not help here, AFAIK.
 
@LJB -  I would like to see some way of doing this.

@jb... Oh yeah, I totally misread that. Yup, the way clips are shown and handled in collapsed tracks is really really bad. That is one thing I miss about Nuendo. You just right clicked and could bring whatever you wanted to the top. Easy peasy. I never try to do ANYTHING editing wise with collapsed tracks. It's too messed up.
