I have Sonar Producer X2a 64bit and Sonar Producer X1d 64bit installed on my computer. I would like to uninstall X1d from the computer and my question is will I lose anything in the process, plug-ins, etc?

You might. There are a lot of entries in your shared folders, so leave X1d installed.

If you're really struggling to reclaim the small amount of space that you could reclaim by removing X1d, it's probably time to invest in a larger hard drive.

Don't do it.   No good reason to do so.

If you're going to uninstall, you might want to do a full/manual uninstall of X1 and X2... then reinstall X2.

There's nothing to worry about.
  • Use Programs And Features in Control Panel to uninstall X1 and X2.
  • Go thru Windows Explorer and delete all Sonar X1/X2 related folders. (Be sure to remove the preference folders under your User Name.)
  • Go to hot-key-current-user/Software/Cakewalk Music Software and remove Sonar X1/X2 keys
  • Go to hot-key-current-machine/Software/Cakewalk Music Software and remove Sonar X1/X2 keys.
  • Reinstall Sonar X2

Thanks to everyone for some good advice. I'll just leave well enough alone.
