Ok, it was a little draggy and then I LOVE from 1:36 to the end...wow, kick ass.  Nice writing.

Hello Voda La Void ,

the tempo this music is posted at is the actual tempo I recorded all my midi guitar parts at . ( pre 1:35 )
after reading your post / feedback I put my tune in an audio editor and sped up the section before 1 :35 …to see how it would sound
you know something you are right …it did sound a lot better a little faster …thank you for the sugestion
1:35 fit nicer at it's original tempo when it came in on the faster file  …

Yes folks , once again it's the Cakewalk Songs Forum to the rescue ..

thanks Voda La Void for the listen and the kind words you said on my writing

This is very cool stuff Kenny..first section had a lovely Oldfield vibe, then Gentle Giant burst through the door at 1:35! Love the orchestral section too, reminded me of one of the first tunes I listened to here, your track 'A Tear for You..' that needs to be expanded.

Interesting and pleasant mixture of modern and historic music..  medieval chamber music moods, the electronic music ambiance and jazz rock band vibes. Beautiful melody lines and arrangement.  Sounds nice.

I like it, didn't sound too rough too me.  I'm experimenting with midi guitar too (Yourock guitar) so I'm always keen to hear others experimenting this way.

Well done Kenny. I have a midi guitar - play it through a Roland GR-30 - think that's what it is - it's packed away right now. I can't get that kind of sound out of it - you set up sounds really nice.

Love it.

Hey Kenny
normally I don't like commenting on "draft" and "in progress" work, but I always love your work, so I had to listen anyway and I'm not disappointed!  love the different sounds and textures throughout.

1:35 is a pretty abrupt change, not sure I like the change there, I'd make that transition a little different.  same for 2:07.  love that last segment, tho, love the choir sounds .  piano's a little "verby" IMO.

nice work Ken!  can't wait to hear a more mature version!

Hello James ,
Yes, the first section needs to be built up some more ..ideas are starting to come to me ...
I saw Gentle Giant  some time back in the 70's in a small theater …I loved what I heard …it must of stuck w me
the orchestral section on this is just a hint at this point ..I left it bare bones to see if I want to develop it more ..
my feeling is yes ,  I would like to incorporate a few acoustic instruments playing along w the orchestra .
i wish i knew how to tap on the guitar ..i keep getting a vibe that some tapping over that would be nice
yeah , my old tune " A Tear for You "…It may be a good idea for me to go and redo that one at some point

thanks for the listen
