I would love to use Linux, but working around a multitude of hardware issues depending on your individual setup is a poor option...
If you have a class compliant interface, there are far fewer issues here.
I do understand if you use software to manipulate your interface and that doesn't work, it blows.
For example, RME DigiCheck and RME TotalMix don't work on Linux. But the RME UCX itself works wonderfully.
