Ah, I think I get it.
I've been sending various appropriate samples and then making loops from them and editing in PRV rather than trying realtime input.
This other method is beyond me so far.

well you play 1 part in real-time.. and the rest is looped pretty much.

or... you could always build it up...

Sounds like you may be sorted but remember to hear both at the same time you will need to make sure that the input echo button on both tracks are lit.

Apologies if that's already been mentioned and I missed it.

I am actually using the DR880's patterns and using SD3 for the sound vehicle...all SD3 does is follw what I'm doing on the DR880. I like the kits in SD3...as for the APR, I am using it as a keyboard to play sounds through Dimension Pro...maybe this isn't the best way, though? It seedmed logical to me...and Glen, how do you like using your DR880 within Sonar? I'm just now trying to use it with MIDI as I have pretty much just recorded the audio from it and using the DR's sounds...which aren't too terrible, once you tweak them a bit...I wish there was a drum map for it,as I know there is not...seems like someone on here was building one, but I seem to have lost the thread...any thoughts here to help a MIDI noob along here is GREATLY appreciated...I'm kinda just learning how all these devices tie in together...SLOWLY! LOL

Thanks

David
