Anyone confirm? 

1) You have velocity data in the controller pane in the PRV
2) Select "new value type" using the selector at the bottom left
3) Click "cancel"

The velocity data that was in the controller pane disappears. Even thought the value type selector is still set to "velocity," there is no data showing. The only way to get it back is to close the PRV and open it again.
