I recorded an audio track with 4 verses (in Sonar X1 Studio). Now, I recorded another audio track with one lick fitting to the chorus of one verse. Could you tell me the easiest way to place this lick exactly to the choruses of the other verses (the choruses are exactly the same like the first one)? Step-by-step-advice would be great! There's a few ways you can do this but this might be the easiest.

Make sure you have Snap enabled. Crop or extend the start of the track you want to copy by dragging the start of it so it "Snaps" to the closest tick on the Time Ruler. Then right click on the header of the Clip, select Copy and then Paste (Right Click > Paste) it where you want. If your project is in time and your Snap settings are correct it should just line up. 

The keyboard shortcuts for Copy and Paste are the same as most other programs.

Copy = Ctrl + C
Paste = Ctrl + V
Cut = Ctrl + X

Oh and if you paste it in the wrong spot you can move the pasted clip by either using the Smart Tool, hovering it above the Clip Header (this will make the cursor turn into four arrows) then click and drag it left or right. You can also use the Move Tool which works on any part of the clip. If it is not snapping where you want then change your Snap Resolution to something smaller in the Transport Bar and try again.

This is all based on whether you actually followed the project tempo. If not disable Snap and then you'll just have to drag it around until it sounds right. Not ideal but it works.

You should check out the Editing Tutorial in the X1 manual. It'll give you a better idea on how to do stuff like this. It doesn't take long to work through. Better yet snag a copy of X1 Power by Scott Garrigus. He's gonna have new one out for X2 though so if you plan upgrading you may want to wait for that one. Cheers.

Oh and another neat way to do what you are attempting is the Copy/Move function. Using the Move Tool (or the Smart Tool in the clip header) hold down Ctrl (or maybe it's Shift, I forget but it's one or the other) then drag the clip where you want it. It will copy the clip and leave the original in place. Cheers.
