But seriously, what are you browsing on? I don't see all the widgets on my phone (Android/Chrome), but I do on my desktop in IE11, Chrome and Edge.
 
Maybe try using Open Full Version above the quick reply window?

When you backspace once (only once) from the end of that blue link, it won't erase anything but the blue hi-light (which is what you want to do). I also went through this same thing, until CraigB(ITHRN) helped me out. I'm on Windows, so not sure about the iPad thingy.
 
Anywhooo, here's what he told me:
 
Step 1 - Get the YouBoob share link
Step 2 - Type [tube][/tube]
Step 3 - Insert the share link between the tags
Step 4 - Remove the "s" from "https"
