Hello,

I made some edits to a project that I do not want to keep.  Unfortunately, I'd saved the changes and closed out of Sonar.  Is there anyway to get back to a previous version of a project if I know the time/date I'd like to use?  I tried the usual Microsoft "right click" to try to restore the project to no avail.  I couldn't find a thread that addressed this issue, so if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.

Learning as I go!

Thanks!

Dan

Dan . . . my only suggestion is that you enable the "auto-save" function in preferences - file - advanced, might help you next time !
. . . I don't know of any other way of getting back to previous versions, once you've exited out of Sonar.

Can't you revert to one of your backup projects before the edits were made?

Sonar (I'm using X1) allows you to use file versioning (see pg 304 of the Sonar X1 PDF manual). This explains how to enable it and use it to revert to a previously saved file. Richard

Hello all,

Thanks for the suggestions.  I do have X1 and will check out the manual... and I will definitely enable the auto-save from here on out!  I'll let you know what has worked.

Thanks!

But is it not "enable Versioning" I thought that was part of safe keeping older versions of a file???

Dan...I have made it a habit each day to save a project with a new date in the name.  In other words, today I would save it as "Song Name_1-4-13".....and tomorrow save it as "Song Name_1-5-13".

That way you at least have each day's work saved to separate files.

Others make have different ways of saving...but this works for me.
