It's a real pity that Notion 4 does not support midi over rewire either. Reply from their support: "Our ReWire still only transmits audio data via ReWire. If you would like to send MIDI data to another program, you can do so using MIDI out. " I just don't get it - why would we want audio data into notation software. So that's it - Sonar needs to upgrade their staff view.

My Thoughts  EXACTLY!   Why would we want audio data in or out of a notation program???  I want to take advantage of the notation editing and use the midi to transfer it to Sonar.

Let me know if you can get it to work.  Other Rewire apps work in Sonar X2 but not Sibelius for me.  I had to upgrade my Notion 3 to 4 to rewire.

People who use the included sounds in the notation app need to dump the audio into the DAW.  Understandable but I, like you, want to be able to send the MIDI data.

Well so far i have Sibelius 7 loading into Sonar thru rewire,  but i can not get it to sync properly.  I don't have a lot of time to mess with this tonight,  but I'll keep trying it during down times.

I agree that Sonar needs to improve the staff view. I use it all the time and even small improvements would help. I don't need Finale, but fix the triplet stuff, give us tuplets, allow us to use ties, allow us to see the music as a lead sheet, etc.

Ditto here.  It appears as a rewire instrument but won't sync.

Hey Vintagevibe,  just a FYI... I can get Notion 4 to load and sync,  but I am not familar with Notion4.  I am good with Sibelius so i was hoping it would be more functionable in Sonar.  So far Notion4 works,  but what good is getting the audio and not the midi into Sonar??

Wow this is bad news.  Sibelius 7 upgrade was going to be my next purchased (currently using 5).  I was hoping it's rewire in 64 bit Sonar would work
