Does anybody else find it disturbing that many of the color options in X2 just don't work?
Something about this irks me, it seems so unfinished.

Why not just get rid of the options if they don't really do anything?  For some reason I find that less objectionable than having settings that do nothing...

You get used to it after a while.

I've noticed that some (or could be most) of them require a restart of Sonar to take effect though they don't show the sign *. Major Rules, Beat Rules, etc.

Eh...  Are you new here?

(joking of course but I'll never stop campaigning for this)

The way the new Skylight interface works does not allow customization of the colors. Someone (Bapu) has come up with a utility that will add some different colors, but you can't tailor the colors yourself.

Sorry, I meant Panu.

Actually, I thinks Panu came up with the utility.

Not being able to change the color of the Active Track in the Track View is the one that bothers me. It is very difficult in a busy mix to differentiate between shades of gray. Drives me nuts! I really want the ability to change this!

You can use Duckbar to customize active track control pane background. Duckbar main menu | Settings | Track View. Right click active track bitmap to edit it.
